Obsédé – Roses – The Just-In-Case Inventory; Shades, Tones, Angles

June 8, 2015 by marianne

If a word doesn’t appear in the dictionary, does that mean it doesn’t exist?  Like the word “obsessant” – as in a person who is obsessed.  I can’t take my eyes off of my roses these past couple of days……..

We all know about Just-in-Time inventory, from Accounting 101.  Well, today, for posterity’s sake, I am making a Just-In-Case Inventory.  These are just in case they aren’t as gorgeous tomorrow or again this Summer.  And yes, about two minutes after I set foot in the house, it began to rain.  How incongruent from yesterday at this time.  I find myself wondering how this could be possible.

Yes, of course, I wait for a very long while to see an abundance of color outside my door.  In fact, I wait for like 11 months for approximately 1 month, when the roses are in peak.  It is a strange phenomenon that, although the hybridizers try and try to get a cultivar to bloom incessantly and abundantly, they really don’t succeed very well.

Perhaps it was because I was inundated with Japanese Beetles last Summer.  Perhaps it is because the array of shades is just so magnificent.  Perhaps it is just because I have a tendency toward hoarding and compulsive behavior when it comes to flower photography.  I don’t know and I really don’t care.  I have the impulse to capture these single moments of beauty outside my door and as seen in my eye.

Today’s bounty:
